Bob Askey

Born and raised in Ohio, Bob Askey's talent for drawing emerged even before he entered elementary school. Encouraged by family and friends to continue developing his skills, he became the staff artist for both his high school and college newspapers producing illustrations and cartoons.

All of Bob's art is the product of his memory and imagination. After a few years of exploration and experimentation, today Bob enjoys working in many different media and styles—oil, water, acrylic, etching, pen & Ink, colored pencil, and graphite. Bob also works with whimsical art—its media usually watercolor and ink. As for his oil paintings, most represent landscapes or scenics featuring perhaps a barn or an old stone bridge.

In the larger sizes of "The Generals," the puzzle can be cut with an irregular edge. Foolish Figurals, or special cut figure pieces, (some refer to these as "whimsies"), can also be cut into the puzzle as well. In the example below, a helmet, crown, telescope, beer stein, pipe, and sword were crafted into the puzzle.
