Yogi Berra, the great New York Yankee catcher, once said, “You can observe a lot by watching.”

Well, we’ve observed a lot of people piece puzzles together. Some go straight for the edges, some work on small piles of similar colors, some avoid looking at the puzzle picture entirely, while others place the image front and center.

At Fool’s Gold, our puzzles do not include pictures of the final image. They are true puzzlers’ puzzles!

 


Foolish Figurals

Foolish Figurals are special shaped pieces to add a personal touch or to complement the image of the puzzle. You can personalize a puzzle with your choice of specially cut figure pieces, such as a heart, frog, starfish, your name, a sailboat…whatever you wish!
There is no extra charge for Foolish Figural pieces.

How many Foolish Figurals
can be included in a puzzle?

We will do our best to accommodate your Foolish Figural requests. A typical 8” x 10” Gold Standard puzzle (contains approximately 160 pieces) and will comfortably accommodate around 8 personalized figure pieces. (Figure a 1 in 20 puzzle piece ratio.) Because of their smaller size, our Fool's Gold Nugget Series puzzles do not include any Foolish Figurals other than our signature “fool.”
 

HOW TO ORDER

Ordering a wooden jigsaw puzzle is easy. You may order a Fool's Gold puzzle online, by phone, or by mail.

Have you selected a puzzle displayed on our Web site? If yes, you have the following purchase options:

You may mail us your request and send payment to Fool's Gold, P.O. Box 904, Harrisville, NH 03450. We'll cover the cost of shipping you the puzzle via USPS Priority (a 2-3 day service). If you live outside of the Continental U.S. or would like your puzzle shipped a different way, just let us know and we can give you some other options and costs.

You may email us your request at info@foolsgoldpuzzles.com with the puzzle's title and item code number. Once we receive your payment via a personal check, Money Order, Cashier's Check, or the necessary credit card information, we will begin crafting your puzzle. In your correspondence, please include your ship-to address and telephone number.

You may also order puzzles online and pay securely via Mastercard, Visa, or PayPal® by clicking the ADD TO CART button next to the puzzle. Fool's Gold will immediately be notified (via email) of your request. Note: if you would like to pay with a credit card through PayPal, you can do this even if you do not have an account set up with them.

You'll see that puzzles can vary in size; from 4" x 6" on up. Puzzles are priced at approximately $1.75 per piece. Typically there are two puzzle pieces cut per square inch.

If you are interested in a different size than what's displayed in the chart above, no problem, we can work out a cost for you.

If you're interested in a smaller-sized puzzle, we offer our Fool's Gold "Nugget Series" puzzles. (These puzzles are indicated with an "A" in their number code.) Nugget Series puzzles are priced at $50. Their size is approximately 3.5" x 5" and they typically contain around 35 puzzle pieces. Nugget Series puzzles do not contain any Foolish Figurals other than our signature "jester" piece.

The Payment

We accept personal checks, Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, and Mastercard or Visa credit cards. You can also order securely online with your credit card or through PayPal®. PayPal does accept a wide variety of credit cards, debit cards, and funds drawn on your bank account.

When we receive your payment, we'll start crafting your puzzle and ship it right out to you. Fool's Gold will pick up the cost of USPS Priority shipping to you (a 2-3 day delivery service). If you live outside of the Continental U.S. or would like your puzzle shipped a different way, just let us know and we can give you some other options and costs.

Fool's Gold wooden jigsaw puzzles are hand cut to order. Except for our smaller "Nugget Series" puzzles, we can personalize your puzzle with names, dates, and other Foolish Figurals. There is no extra charge for this service. If you'd like us to choose some figure pieces for you based on the puzzle image, we can also do that too. Just let us know

The Pressure

Handcut wooden jigsaw puzzles take time to craft! We will always do our best to meet your time schedule, but especially around the holidays, please allow sufficient time for us to craft your puzzle. Typically 2-3 weeks is the minimum time required once the jigsaw blade starts going!
