It was with great sadness that we learned of Trina's death in November 2004. She lost her final battle with breast cancer. In her honor, and for others who suffer from this disease, Fool's Gold will donate 10% of all (Trina Schart Hyman) puzzle sales to help support the fight against breast cancer.
Peter Pan
In 1980, Trina was asked to illustrate
a new edition of J. M. Barrie's"Peter Pan." She writes in the book's preface as being astonished to be asked to do the illustrations for this classic work. Could she do them?
In looking at the characters in the book, Trina felt they had been written for her personally. She was Peter, she could identify with Wendy, Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily, and all those clueless Lost Boys. They were all her, and she knew exactly how it would be to live in Neverland. She wrote that she hoped that would be the place she would go when she died.
Trina, we will all miss you.
I hope you found your Neverland.
Puzzle Possibilities

The cut-out rabbit figure (pictured above) is an example of a Foolish Figural
that can be crafted into a puzzle. There is no extra charge for these special figure pieces, and we will do our best to accommodate all of your requests. Rule of thumb: one"Foolish Figural" for every ten puzzle pieces.
